It's wood. You can tell by the texture and shape and the gaps inbetween.

I've seen DA people copy wood by using clay, or even bronze. Some are really good at it and I had trouble defining if these horses were made of clay/metal. Just had to be sure by asking ;)

Well, I'm no professional in this art, lol.. But I'm just assuming with how it looks. I think if it was metal it would be a bit more shiny.. And clay wouldn't be so smooth, I think.
